"Some medicines dispensed in Poland contain substances that are not allowed in Egypt. This can apply to both prescription and non-prescription drugs, or even homeopathic remedies. The Polish Embassy in Cairo does not have a unified list of medicines that are not allowed to be brought into Egypt. Egyptian airport services each time make a decision on whether the drugs can be transported into the country. Medicines that raise doubts are taken away from the owner and checked in the laboratory. The waiting time for their return is not specified and can take up to several weeks. To avoid problems (confiscation of medicines and criminal liability), take a translated medical certificate with you, at least into English. This certificate must confirm that you are using specific medications. Do not take too many doses of medication – only as much as you need during your stay in Egypt.

Information on the import of medicines is provided by the Egyptian Embassy in Warsaw. You can ask them to send you information about specific medicines."

Sildenafil is not listed as a prohibited substance in Egypt, but it is advisable to have a doctor's certificate to avoid any inconvenience at the airport. It is imperative to avoid the carriage of drugs containing opioids and pseudoephedrine and psychotropics (these substances are treated as drugs). Keep the medicine in its original packaging.
