I have a question, according to the recommendations , I was to start taking primolut n tablets to delay the period of two days before the planned menstruation. This afternoon I took the first pill because I was supposed to get my period on December 27th. Unfortunately, it turned out that I got my period today, can I continue to take the drug? Will I stop taking it? Will my periods stop for some days and also tell the side effects of taking on first day of my periods?

The information in the summary of product characteristics for Primolut is as follows:
"Take one tablet of Primolut-Nor 3 times a day for 10 days. In most cases, this will inhibit uterine bleeding that is not associated with organic changes within 1 to 3 days. However, to ensure the effectiveness of treatment, Primolut-Nor tablets should be taken for a full 10 days. Within 2 to 4 days after the end of treatment, withdrawal bleeding will occur, comparable in abundance and duration to normal menstrual bleeding."
This dosage is used when it is necessary to inhibit bleeding that is a functional disorder. Usually, Primolut Nor is taken three days before your planned period and postpones your period until you stop taking it – by a maximum of seven days.
