Both drugs - Pectodrill and Ambrosol - are used to relieve productive (wet) cough, which often accompanies upper respiratory tract infections. Pectodrill liquefies the secretion, making it easier to cough it up. Ambrosol, on the other hand, increases mucus secretion, which makes it easier to remove. If for some reason you cannot tolerate Pectodrill, you can try Ambrosol. Expectorant drugs should not be taken in the evening and at night (the last dose should be taken around 4-5:00 p.m.).
