The active substance (dexamethasone) contained in Dexafree drops is poorly absorbed by the corneal epithelium. The drops have a local effect. The use of the drug according to the manufacturer's indications does not cause systemic effects, and therefore - interactions with other drugs used orally. Eye drops can be used during concomitant treatment with other medications.

Information on how to properly apply eye drops:

- Point the drip tip towards the outer corner of the eye (more towards the ear than towards the nose). Keep it about 1 cm above the surface of the eyeball – try not to touch your eye, eyelids, eyelashes or your hands directly.

- Tilt the lower eyelid with your finger and drip the preparation into the resulting space (the "pocket" - the conjunctival sac). It is important to grow it right there, and not on the surface of the eyeball.

- Close your eye for about 2 minutes. Don't blink or close your eyelids.

- Pinch the inner corner of the eye (right next to the nose) with your finger.

- Remove excess medicine with a tissue, cotton swab or gauze pad.
