The simultaneous use of tramadol and gabapentin has the potential to exacerbate the depressive effects on the central nervous system of these substances, which may manifest as excessive sedation, increased drowsiness, inability to concentrate and, in some cases, life-threatening respiratory depression.
Do not use medicines containing tramadol and gabapentin together unless your doctor has indicated otherwise. If the combined medication has been ordered by one doctor (or two specialists who knew about other medications you use), use the medication strictly with his or her indications.
In the event that the medications have been prescribed by different specialists, it is necessary to visit the doctor to verify the therapy.
