Pay attention to the storage information for Vegovy:
Before opening:
Store in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). Do not freeze. Keep away from the item
Cooling.
When using:
• The pen can be stored for 6 weeks below 30°C or in a refrigerator (2°C – 8°C), away from the cooling element. Do not freeze or use previously frozen Vegova.
• To protect from light, put the pen cap on the pen when the pen is not in use.
The above information indicates that the product is valid after opening for 6 weeks (stability of the active substance has been observed during this period during clinical trials). Longer storage of the drug does not guarantee its quality and effectiveness. Taking a smaller dose of the drug from the new packaging with an insulin syringe may impair its sterility and make it difficult to dose subsequent portions of the product. This is not recommended for Vegovy.
