Zyrtec has anti-allergic properties - it alleviates symptoms associated with seasonal and chronic allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria. The drug has no direct effect on improving or accelerating the healing of postoperative wounds.
According to the information contained in the summary of product characteristics, the use of Triderm on wounds and damaged skin is contraindicated. Therefore, the preparation should not be used on the postoperative wound.
In the case of postoperative wound care, the key role is played by regular dressing change (usually every 1-2 days, unless otherwise recommended at discharge) and disinfection of the postoperative wound when changing the dressing with agents intended for this purpose. Proper antisepsis and regular dressing changes are enough to provide the wound with the right conditions for healing.
If you notice that the wound is not healing properly, contact your doctor, who will consider the need to implement appropriate pharmacotherapy.
