When neurotop 300 retard 2x a day starts to work, today I took about 14, only half, i.e. 150 mg, 1 day of taking.. Can I take another dose at night if it was taken at 2 pm? When will the drug start to work well?

If you take the medicine too short a time, the plasma concentration may be too high, which may increase the risk of side effects.
If you do not want to take the medication at 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m., it is better to skip the second dose (at 2:00 a.m.) and take the next dose in the morning than to take the night dose earlier.
So if I took it at 2 p.m. So it's better not to take it for anything??

Carbamazepine contained in Neurotop Retard 300 reaches its maximum concentration in the blood (when using extended-release tablets twice a day) 24 hours after taking the drug. After this time, the first effects of the preparation can be observed.
Initially, treatment is started at 150 mg twice a day, then this dose may be increased by your doctor until the individual dose is reached. The full effects of the treatment can be observed after the individual optimal dose is reached.
According to the information contained in the summary of product characteristics of Neurotop Retard 300, the preparation should be taken in the morning and evening, preferably at equal intervals (every 12 hours), and if the drug is administered once a day, it should be taken in the evening.
If you took the medicine at 2 p.m. and it was your first dose, you should take the next dose at about 2:00 a.m. However, you can take the next dose, e.g. at 7.00 a.m. the next day and continue taking the drug every 12 hours (i.e. 7.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.), or at any other time in the morning, remembering to keep a more or less equal time interval.
