I know that the recommended dose is one ampoule of pen syringe, while my husband is to take a small dose, i.e. not 250 micrograms, but 25 - we don't want to spin this gentleman, so as not to waste the drug. Does anyone know how many doses of 25 micrograms are in one pen? Will it be one twist?

Honestly, I don't recommend using the needles that are added to the pen, they are too long 12mm in my opinion.
I've never used them when I saw how long they are :)
You can thread any insulin needles from the pharmacy, I recommend BD microfine 5mm purple or novo fine 6mm needles
Ok, thank you very much for the explanation and I'll also ask about Ovitrelle in pen, there are only two interchangeable needles, were there more or could you buy them separately in the pharmacy? Because it is known that you need to have a new one with each injection.
I use 2 milliliter syringes and long needles (green) to draw the solvent and inject into the powder vial. Then I insert the insulin tube perpendicularly into the middle of the cork into a small circle in the middle and take it, sometimes there are bubbles, so I gently retract and stretch again. If I dissolve in 1 ml, then on these half-milliliter syringes 10 is 500 IU, there are 2 milliliters added to the eutrigue, it's a matter of conversion.
How is this Eutrix doing for you? How do you measure it into an insulin tube? Because I see that you have insulin tubes with a non-replaceable needle? Do I need additional larger needles and syringes to pour the contents to crush the Eutrig and nacl powder that is in the package? Maybe Eutrig would actually be the easiest solution.
There is actually a little more solution in the pen than on the package, 500 IU is 2 clicks, the whole pen can be wound up to 25 clicks, but I managed to shoot 30 clicks after 1000 iu - 4 clicks 3x a week
I had 7 doses of 4 clicks and it was still possible to squeeze 2 clicks into the 8th dose, so with 2x2 in a tyg pen it is probably enough for a whole month.
Since the spring, my doctor and I have switched to Zivafert, which is a little more economical, I paid 105 zlotys each, sometimes 120-130, but with my dosage it was enough for 5 doses, a week and a half, and at 500 iu 2x a week it will lie more than 2 times longer, bacteria can multiply in the solution because the manufacturer did not provide such a dosage and does not add a preservative, I recently paid 44 PLN for eutrig in Lublin.
Our insulin tubes u100 1ml have every 10 to 100, from 0 to 10 there are only 5 bars, I ask about pen in the pharmacy it's a good idea and tell me how much this pen is enough? For how many doses? Do you think that if we have 500IU 2x a week, then 13 doses are enough? How does it work out for you?
Nat, the schedules belong to my doctor, 2 months ago she wanted me to share the syringe ampoule because there was no zivafert or pen in the pharmacy, but now eutrig has appeared and there are also ovitrelle pens.
If I'm not mistaken, in the pharmacy they can dispense a pen or an amp-teat interchangeably because both are their substitutes, regardless of which one is on the prescription, it's worth asking.
I have never used insulin tubes with a replaceable needle, I take and prick the same one. I don't know what brand your insulin bottles are, 1 milliliter has a slightly less precise scale than 0.5 milliliter ones, I don't want to mislead.
Piotrek, we just wanted to dose Ovitrelle 6500j 0.04ml as you calculated, but it is simply unrealistic (due to the small amount), we have insulin tubes u100 1ml with a replaceable needle, currently 0.5ml Ovitrelle + NaCl 0.5ml is made in a vial with a rubber stopper, so on my insulin tube as well as I counted, it gives 4 units? To be 500IU. I'm wondering if I should ask the doctor for a pen or this Eutrig because the Ovitrelle pre-syringe is some kind of nightmare for a man.
Nat, if there is 0.5ml of ovitrelle and 1ml of saline in the vial, so together 1.5 ml is 500 IU, it will be about 11 insulin units on the u100 syringe
It is best when the amount of solution is equal to 1 or 2 milliliters, then it converts nicely into insulin doses.
I use BD syringes 0.5ml u100 with an 8mm needle, then the scale is 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. up to 50, i.e. 0.5ml
I have never counted ovitrelle on this scale, only zivafert and eutrig. If you were to use these preparations, after dissolving 5000IU of powder in 1 ml of nacl, the concentration on the syringe looks like this
5 - 250 IU 10 - 500 IU 15 - 750 IU 20 - 1000 IU
I attach a photo of what it looks like, there are also my doctor's lists about ovitrelle in a syringe.
Yes Piotrek, we have exactly Ovitrelle ampoule-syringe and the only thing I came up with was that I poured the whole Ovitrelle into a vial of 1ml + added 0.5ml of NaCl (of course the prescription one) but despite everything it is very difficult to dose, especially when you have to scoop up by holding the vial at the top and the scooping needle on the thicker spout. We have insulin tubes u100 1ml lines every 2j so from 0 to 10 on the insulin tube (there are 5 bars) it is supposed to be 500iu 2x a week and after dilution I don't know if I'm thinking right and we should take 4 lines from 0 to be ~500iu...
Nat, did the doctor issue a prescription for an ampoule, syringe or pen? If you bought an amp-teat in a pharmacy, it is not easy to divide it. Ovitrelle is used in men but in small doses per click on a penny, 1 click is about 260iu or 10mcg. A syringe ampoule has only 0.5ml without a graduation and without a replaceable needle, in this case you would have to buy an empty sterile vial with a rubber stopper, inject the contents of the amp-teat into it and take it with disposable insulin tubes, it is impossible to divide it sensibly.
You can use Zivafert in vials or a substitute for Eutrig HP, then you dissolve the powder in the vial and take the dose by millilitres with an insulin tube, and then keep it in the refrigerator. Zivafert works very well used repeatedly over the course of 10 days, similar to ovitrelle, I took both and it was the same.
we have Ovitrelle 6500 in an ampoule-syringe at my fiancé's and a dose of 1/13 2 times a week, we also don't understand how to dose it, massacre....

The Ovitrelle pen contains one full dose of 250 micrograms (0.5 ml), equivalent to ten doses of 25 micrograms.
The manufacturer does not provide information on the dose equal to one turn of the pen, because it is intended for single use and is not used to administer smaller doses.
Your doctor may recommend a lower dose off-label, according to your experience, in which case he or she should tell you how many times you need to turn the pen to get the desired dose and how to administer the injection.
