Taclar is a prescription medicine whose active ingredient is clarithromycin, an antibiotic.

Clarithromycin acts on bacteria by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins. This preparation is registered for the treatment of infections caused by drug-sensitive microorganisms, e.g. lower and upper respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, pharyngitis caused by streptococci, sinusitis), acute otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections.
