Now every adult can get vaccinated against meningococci at the pharmacy. A pharmacist will qualify for vaccination free of charge and perform the vaccination. The patient only pays the cost of the preparation.
The price ranges from PLN 150 to PLN 350, depending on the vaccine.
Bexsero is a vaccine for children and adults up to 50 years of age. It is a vaccine against meningococcal type B. The price starts at about PLN 350 per dose. To achieve immunity in an adult, 2 doses of the vaccine are usually necessary at least monthly intervals.
Nimenrix for children and adults up to 55 years of age for children and adults, against meningococci types A, C, W and Y. For an adult, 1 dose of the vaccine is sufficient. The price starts at about PLN 150 per dose, depending on the pharmacy.
MenQuadfi also against meningococci types A, C, W and Y. For an adult, one dose is enough. The price starts at approx. PLN 190

An adult can be vaccinated against meningococci. Usually, such vaccination takes place in primary care, but some pharmacies also offer the service of issuing a pharmaceutical prescription for the vaccine and its administration (for a fee).
The currently available vaccines are m.in.
Bexsero for children and adults up to 50 years of age. It is a vaccine against meningococcal type B.
Nimenrix for children and adults up to 55 years of age and MenQuadfi for children and adults against meningococcal types A, C, W and Y.
However, it should be borne in mind that meningococcal disease mainly affects children up to 5 years of age. Therefore, the legitimacy of receiving the vaccine by an adult should be consulted with a doctor.
