You can usually return to normal physical activity about a week after the contraceptive implant is placed. A week after the implant is placed, you can already exercise on a treadmill and lift weights.

Doing exercises immediately after the contraceptive implant, especially those involving the hands, is not recommended for the first few days. The implant takes time to stabilize in the skin, and overexertion can increase the risk of irritation, inflammation, or displacement of the implant.
Although the lack of displacement of the implant and the possibility of feeling it under the skin indicates the absence of direct complications, in the future it is worth following the doctor's recommendations and avoiding intense physical exercise in the initial period after the procedure.
