The maximum daily dose has not been exceeded.
According to the manufacturer:
"Basal dose: 6 million IU per day in 2 divided doses; This dose may be increased to 9 MU/day in 3 divided doses. In throat and tonsil infections caused by group A streptococcus, treatment lasts 10 days. Prevention of meningococcal meningitis: 3 million IU every 12 hours for 5 days."
