Torvacard and Torvacard Neo are drugs containing the same active ingredient – atorvastatin, which is used in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. They are manufactured by the same manufacturer - Zentiva.
The differences between these preparations result from the composition of the excipients. Torvacard Neo is a newer registration - it was registered in 2015. and is already devoid of titanium oxide. The European Commission has banned the use of titanium dioxide in food.
