Rinvoq (upadacitinib) may increase the risk of cancers, including skin cancer, especially in patients with risk factors such as smoking.
Although smoking in the past may affect the overall risk of cancer, there is no conclusive evidence that moderate smoking increases the risk of skin cancer in the context of Rinvoq use.
It is important to regularly monitor any skin changes and report any worrying symptoms to your doctor. I also encourage you to discuss any concerns you may have about your treatment and potential side effects with your doctor.
