Hello, I have an urgent question, if I have previously taken the contraceptive pill microgynon and at the time when I put on my first evra patch and took it off after an hour, can I take the pill on the same day or the next?

If the Evra patch has been applied according to the procedure in the package leaflet (i.e. on the first day after the end of the 7-day break or the day after the end of the pack of tablets), I assume that you can start another pack of Microgynon on the same day without harming contraceptive effectiveness. Probably, no study has been conducted on the effect of a patch applied for an hour on the mechanism of action of the tablets. If there is a delay during the change of contraceptive method, additional protection should be used during intercourse for the next 7 days.
