Soolantra can be used for longer if your doctor thinks you need to. 4-month cycles of Soolantra treatment can be repeated. The Summary of Product Characteristics does not indicate a risk of health disorders with prolonged use.
Information contained in the characteristics:
"Studies of up to 9 months of repeated administration of ivermectin (Soolantra) to the skin in the form of a 10 mg/g cream in miniature pigs showed no toxicity or local toxicity at a level of systemic exposure comparable to clinical exposure."
People with skin prone to rosacea should use appropriate, delicate cosmetics and use creams with a high sunscreen on a daily basis.
