Cardiol C is a medicine containing extracts from the fruit and inflorescence of hawthorn, lily of the valley herb and kola spores. It has the effect of slightly increasing the force of myocardial contraction (positive inotropic effect) and decreasing the frequency of its contractions (negative chronotropic effect).
Biosotal is a drug that exhibits a negative chronotropic effect like Cardiol C and a limited negative inotropic effect, i.e. reducing the force of myocardial contraction. The interaction between Cardiol C and Biosotal has not been described. However, due to the synergistic effect of reducing the frequency of heart contractions and the fact that Cardiol C can increase the force of myocardial contraction and Biosotal decrease, it is not recommended to use the preparations together.
