I got cold sores on my lips today. My husband and I are trying to have a baby and now is the fertile day. Is there any risk when trying for a baby?

You can try to conceive during herpes.
Over-the-counter antiviral drugs can be used - both in pill and ointment form. They have no effect on fertility and will not harm the fetus if you become pregnant.
If you become pregnant and your cold sore symptoms persist, you should consult your doctor.
