The active substance in Zotral is sertraline. Sertraline is a medication that counteracts depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and certain mood disorders. Sertraline should not directly affect the results of pregnancy tests. Pregnancy tests usually respond to the presence of the hormone hCG (chorionic gonadotropin), the levels of which increase during pregnancy.
