Is it Bicardef? If so, please read on. Yes, bisoprolol (the active ingredient Bicardef), which is a beta-blocker, has the ability to lower heart rate, i.e. heart rate. It works by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors in the heart, leading to a reduction in the effects of hormones such as adrenaline and norepinephrine on the heart. As a result, the heart beats more slowly and with less contraction force.
