Can an Asertin tablet be split, crushed or chewed if I have swallowing problems?

Good evening, I would like to ask if it is possible to crush and chew Asertin 50 tablets - I have a problem with swallowing. Thank you in advance for your reply:)

According to the information provided by the manufacturer in the Summary of Product Characteristics, Asertin 50 mg tablets have a scoring line along which they can be divided into two equal parts.

So if you have trouble swallowing them, you can split the tablet in half and take it as a split tablet.

I suggest you buy a tablet cutter for this purpose, which will allow you to precisely divide the tablet without crushing it.
