Good morning, I'm 17 weeks pregnant, I'm taking Pueria Duo supplements. It wasn't until the end of the 1st pack that I noticed that I should take two DHA capsules, and I was taking one each. Now he's stressed that it could have negative consequences... Should I be afraid of that?

Currently, it is recommended to supplement at least 200 mg of DHA in all pregnant women, and 600 mg of DHA in women who eat small amounts of fish. Pregnant women at high risk of preterm birth should take at least 1000 mg of DHA - here, however, the decision to increase the dose is made by the gynecologist.
One capsule of Pueria Duo contains 300 mg of DHA, the recommended 2 capsules per day contain 600 mg. The dose of 600 mg of DHA per day in the supplement is due to the fact that in Poland the consumption of fish and other sources of DHA is statistically very low. Perhaps your diet is rich in this ingredient?
Numerous data indicate the benefits of a proper supply of DHA during pregnancy - both for the mother and the child. At the same time, it is difficult to determine that taking a reduced dose of the supplement will definitely have negative consequences. In the current situation, I would suggest taking the correct dose of DHA and trying not to worry. Stress in a pregnant mother can - in my opinion - do more harm than the described error in supplementation.
Dietary supplements such as Pueria Duo can be purchased through GdziePoLek online with home delivery, and in some cities also using the Wolt service:
