The manufacturer of the drug reports that the half-life for Sudafed is about 5.5 hours after an oral dose of 180 mg. Therefore, it can be assumed that the elimination of the drug from the body occurs 11-12 hours after taking such a dose. 180 mg is equivalent to taking three tablets, each containing 60 mg of pseudoephedrine.
