Dysgeusia has been reported uncommonly with moxifloxacin (the active ingredient in Avelox). The occurrence and severity of side effects can vary from person to person, so it is possible that you may experience a bitter taste in your mouth throughout the duration of your treatment. If this symptom makes it difficult for you to function normally, or poses a health risk, you should report it to your doctor.
