How is Gargarin used?

How to understand the dosage of gargarin? Dissolve a teaspoon of powder in a glass of water and gargle 2-3 times a day? Does this mean that a solution from one cup is supposed to last me for the whole day, or do I have to make a new solution from a teaspoon of powder 3 times a day?

"Externally for gargling: 1/2 -1 teaspoon per 1/2 cup warm water, gargle 3 times a day."
