If you have not been on hormone replacement therapy before, you can start using Novofem on day 5 of your cycle.

In HRT-not users or women treated with another product used in continuous combined HRT, treatment may be initiated on any day. In women who have been receiving sequential HRT, treatment should be initiated the day after the completion of the full course of treatment.

Novofem is intended to be used on a continuous sequential basis in HRT. Estrogen is used continuously. Progestin is used for 12 days in a 28-day cycle in a sequential manner.
