Can fever be the result of taking a double dose of Mirtazapine?

My father-in-law took double dose of mirtazapine. After about 12 hours fever to 40. I heard the doctor, he can't give me explanations. He started antibiotic. Can there be correlation with the drug? And if so, after how much passes?

No, fever is not a symptom of taking a double dose of Mrtazapine once. Symptoms of taking more than the recommended dose are usually mild. Disorientation with prolonged sedation, tachycardia and mild hypertension or hypotension have been reported.

An increase in temperature can be the result of various factors, such as infections, so the use of an antibiotic by a doctor may suggest the possibility of an accompanying infection.

The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book the medicine at a selected stationary pharmacy and collect it after presenting a prescription:
