Can I be pregnant if I am taking birth control pills and have had sex without additional protection while taking the antibiotic Duracef?
Good morning I take Steridile30 for a week I took the antibiotic duracef 2g per day . Now came a 7-day break in steridile 30 tablets and I had a few drops of blood with mucus instead of withdrawal bleeding, I made love to my partner without additional protection during and before the antibiotic test can I be pregnant? Please reply.

The antibiotic may weaken the effectiveness of birth control pills, so it is recommended to use additional protection throughout the period of its intake and for 7 days after the end of antibiotic therapy.
If you have not used additional protection and have intercourse while taking antibiotics, there is a risk of pregnancy.
It is worth doing a check-up pregnancy test, which you will buy at the pharmacy.

If more than 10 days have passed since your last intercourse, you can take a morning urine test and the result will be reliable.
If you test negative, you can continue taking the contraceptive pill despite your ongoing bleeding/spotting.
