If you are a patient who is taking medication for diabetes, it is important to always follow your doctor's instructions on how to take your medication and how to monitor your blood sugar levels. What self-control should look like is decided by the doctor.
In some cases, one measurement per day is sufficient (e.g. in people with type 2 diabetes treated with metformin), in others several measurements are taken per day (patients treated intensively with insulin).
Symformin, according to the manufacturer's recommendations, should be taken once a day during the evening meal. It is logical, therefore, that since the glycemic measurement is to be done after dinner, you first take the medicine and then measure the level of sugar.
