I bought Polpril, which I have been using for years. Except that I use flip-flops – half in the morning and half in the evening, and this time the pharmacist gave me the drug in capsules. I noticed it when I opened it. Is there a chance for exchange in this situation? It is not possible to divide the dose.

According to Polish pharmaceutical law, a pharmacist is obliged to provide patients with appropriate information and advice on the medicines used. If you have received the wrong form of medicine, you have the right to report it to the pharmacy to solve the problem. In the event that the pharmacist dispensed the wrong form of medicine to you (capsules instead of tablets), you can contact the pharmacy where the medicine was purchased to discuss the situation. The pharmacist may be able to replace the medicine with the appropriate form, if such a possibility exists. However, if the drug was dispensed in accordance with the prescription (the doctor issued a prescription for the form in capsules), it will no longer be possible to exchange, because the prescription has been correctly completed. The drug has already been opened (security seals have been breached) and the packaging has been withdrawn from the pool available for sale. Legal basis: Pharmaceutical Law art. 96 sec. 7
