How can you get infected with onychomycosis?

Suspecting nail fungus in yourself, is it possible that it will be transferred, for example, to eat, let's say, during the breadcrumbing of chicken or during other activities such as spinning cigarettes with tobacco giving it to another person, and can you infect loved ones by touch or is it impossible? In a week I have a doctor, but until then I am afraid that I will somehow infect my loved ones?

Onychomycosis can be infected using common e.g. towels, flip-flops, nail clippers. The risk of getting infected is higher in people with, for example, diabetes or immunodeficiencies. Infection through breaded chicken, for example, is unlikely due to subsequent heat treatment. However, due to the possibility of transmitting the infection to susceptible people (e.g. sick) through common objects (e.g. a towel), I encourage you to perform activities such as rolling cigarettes or preparing meals in protective gloves. I also encourage you to postpone individual hygiene products (such as a nail file) and increase hygiene until you consult a doctor.
