Mastika is mainly used as a preparation supporting the protection of the gastric mucosa, especially in the course of Helicobacter pylori infection. SIBO is a syndrome of bacterial hyperplasia of the small intestine, i.e. a gastrological problem located in the further part of the digestive tract. SIBO treatment is long-lasting, often requiring the use of prescription drugs. Mastika can improve comfort, but it will not eliminate the cause of the ailment.
