Can I give Actifed syrup to a 5 year old child and can it be used at night?

Today we got Actifed syrup for a child who is 5 years old and writes that this syrup is from the age of 7 and the antibiotic Taromentin. My question is whether I can give this syrup to my child and whether it can be used at night

According to the registration, Actifed is intended for use in adults and children from 7 years of age. The doctor - based on his best knowledge and experience - may recommend taking a given drug off-label, if he thinks that such a practice may be helpful and safe for the patient. We wrote about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami Actifed syrup can be used at night. According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, Actifed may cause drowsiness as a side effect. Please follow your doctor's dosage instructions to avoid excessive drowsiness or other side effects. The GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to book a medicine in a selected stationary pharmacy: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/2010/actifed-syrop/apteki I enclose materials that may be interesting and information about the possibility of using teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow
