Good morning. I have been treated for type 2 diabetes for less than 2 years. From time to time, the diabetologist orders tests m.in glycated hemoglobin level, urine tests, creatinine, etc. Recent results are: Ketones in urine: none, glucose: 7828mg/dL, protein: none. The doctor said that I could have glucose in my urine but it was never that high, the highest I had was 500-600 but it was never that high. Is there anything to worry about? I'm currently taking Xigduo and diaprel.

I'm taking rybelsus 3 mg - the first days. I eat breakfast about 1.5 to 2.5 hours after taking the pill. That's how I work out with my daily schedule. Should I shorten the interval between the pill and breakfast? I haven't measured my blood sugar, but I have the impression that it's going down a lot. Is it just one of the side effects?

I am 47 years old, female and have been taking Metformin 1000mg morning and evening for several years. Now I read more and more often that this intake can lead to lactic acidosis (or as it is written), especially under the influence of alcohol. Now I'm a bit panicked because I drank alcohol on New Year's Eve for once, I don't drink any else. Had not taken metformin the evening before and on New Year's Eve itself, only taken normally again on 02.01. Since this morning, I have had sore muscle-like complaints in my upper arms and legs. I feel sickly and I'm also tired all the time and feel limp and drained, like I'm getting really sick. My bronchial tubes aren't doing so well either. My gut feeling tells me that I'm really just getting sick and it has nothing to do with lactic acidosis, because I sleep a lot at the moment because I'm always tired and limp. Can you reassure me about that?
