Should I use Cetraxal as it is in the leaflet or as recommended by the doctor?

Hello. I was with my son (6) at the doctor and we are prescribed Cetraxal. Dosage, however, 2x 1/2 apulki. In the leaflet it is written that we dose after the whole ampoule. So doesn't half the dose mean that the antibiotic will not be given in the full dose and will not work? According to the recommendations, the unused dose of medicines should be discarded and not stored for 12 hours. Please help.

Indeed, the dosage recommended by the manufacturer is the same in children and adults, i.e. 2 times a day for 1 ampoule in the ear. The doctor is not obliged to follow the records of the drug leaflet, he may recommend a different dosage based on his own knowledge, while taking responsibility for the effectiveness and safety of the treatment. Of course, it is worth reporting to the attending physician any doubts about the dosage of the product. The immediate packaging (ampoule) should be used/discarded immediately after opening and should not be stored for 12 hours until the next dose is administered.
