What about a hard-to-heal wound?

For a long time I have been struggling with a difficult to heal wound on the foot near the ankle. I am a person with a disability. I move in a wheelchair and have no feeling in my legs. The place where the wound was formed is exposed to abrasions, although I try to avoid them. The wound is clean, about 3 cm wide and about 1.5 cm deep. I'm looking for something to speed up the healing of this wound. Thanks in advance for your help.

In the case of a difficult chronic wound, it will be necessary to consult a doctor. Throughout the Polish there are Chronic Wound Treatment Clinics (such wounds lasting over 6 weeks). If I am not mistaken, it will be necessary to get a referral from a GP or other specialist. You may need to clean the wound by a specialist or use dressings that can be obtained with a refund. Treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds, in addition to the use of the preparation, consists in choosing the right dressing, thorough cleaning of the wound, regular washing and changing of the dressing and control by a doctor. Unfortunately, you have not written anything about how the wound has been treated so far and how long the wound lasts. Diagnosing a wound using the Internet is not a good choice. If you have a problem with a visit to the doctor, it is best to ask for a home visit. If you have any questions, please write here.
