Good morning. I take Accordeon 80 mg permanently.and for the first time I met with a refusal to sell me: instead of 1 package.80 mg- two packs. 40 mg. I would add that I asked for it because the pharmacy does not have (can not order) at a dose of 80 mg. The prescription is written correctly, after all, the amount of active substance is correct... Please help and answer: Did the pharmacist in the pharmacy do the right thing by refusing to sell me 200 tabl.40 mg instead of 100 tabl.80 mg. ?? Sincerely, Gajewski.

According to the Accordeon Summary of Product Characteristics, the tablets are dose-proportional to each other in both the amount and rate of oxycodone absorbed. From this perspective, you may be given a lower dose (40 mg) when filling an 80 mg prescription. The correct prescription must meet a number of formal requirements. In terms of dose conversion, such implementation is possible, other legal issues are assessed by the person fulfilling the prescription. Without seeing the prescription, I cannot answer with certainty whether the pharmacist's refusal was justified.
