Octeangin has an antiseptic effect, does not have a typical analgesic or anesthetic effect. The manufacturer does not inform that the drug causes a sore throat. If the medicine worsens your health, please report it to your doctor and change the treatment. Substances in throat preparations that have an anesthetic or analgesic effect are, for example, lidocaine, benzidamine.
