Can progesterone in Femoston Mini cause boils on the abdomen?

Good morning I have a question for 4 years I take to alleviate menopausal ailments Femoston low 0m5mg / 2.5mg . For about 1.5 years on the stomach and intimate places began to pop up large painful pimples resembling boils. After doing blood tests, the family doctor stated that it is the fault of progesterone, which is found with this medicine and the skin secretes too much fat. Is it possible and what to do about it.

Yes, progesterone can increase the production of sebum by the sebaceous glands of the skin, but this does not mean that it is the cause of skin lesions. Femoston Mini, however, contains an estrogen component that to some extent balances the amount of sebum secreted. In addition, the manufacturer of the drug Femoston Mini did not include among the side effects the occurrence of skin lesions similar to boils. Of course, such a correlation cannot be ruled out, but in my opinion it is worth looking for other causes of skin problems. First of all, potential allergenic factors (e.g. cosmetics, jewelry, foods, fabrics), newly introduced drugs should be taken into account. Skin changes may also indicate a bacterial infection, so if they do not disappear spontaneously in the near future, I recommend a dermatological consultation.
