Hello, I would like to issue an e-prescription for medical marijuana by gabinet.gov. I picked Cannabis Flos THC 20%, CBD ≤ 0.5% (Canopy Growth). If I prescribe less than in the original packaging, will the raw material be measured on the spot? What quantitative abbreviation to choose and what to enter in the "Total dose of the active substance" because it is expressed only in mg + verbal description. Best regards

Good morning Of course, the way the pharmaceutical raw material is packaged should not affect the prescription fulfillment. Theoretically, you can write a prescription for any amount of cannabis flowers that does not exceed 90 days of therapy, the only restriction is the dosage. The active substance should be considered hemp flower, although the standardization includes THC and CBD. However, due to the unknown exact amount of these cannabinoids (the values given are in the range of +/-10% or no more than 1%), it is not possible to save an unambiguous amount of cannabinoids as an active substance.
