Hello, for the last three days I have had sex with my partner without protection (the partner did not come). I emphasize that at that time, for the first few days, I had a delayed period, which nevertheless appeared. Immediately after the last intercourse, i.e. on the second day of menstruation, I took the Ellaone tablet. I am concerned that the tablet may not work. Should I be worried?

The sooner the tablet is taken, the higher its effectiveness. In the case of ellaOne, it was noted that it should produce the expected effect up to 120 hours (5 days) after intercourse. However, it is best to take it as soon as possible. If you have not exceeded the deadline of 120 days, and your description shows that the time interval is correct - there is no reason to worry, the tablet will make the waiting action.
