According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, Octeangin should not be used if hypersensitivity to the active substance (octenidine hydrochloride) or to any of the excipients is observed. The product can be safely used in patients over 12 years of age. In addition, the preparation does not interact with antiepileptic drugs, so it can be taken by patients suffering from epilepsy.
