Can I take Hevipoint tablets preventively so as not to have herpes?
Good morning. On Wednesday evening, my boyfriend and I saw that he was getting herpes on his lip. In the morning or at noon there were no visible changes and he did not feel any itching or burning. On Thursday, he bought Hevipoint pills and managed to take two that day. Unfortunately, my fault lies in the fact that I forgot about the situation and drank from his cup. Herpes virus type 1 (HSV-1) is transmitted with follicular secretions, saliva and through direct contact with mucous membranes and skin, e.g. when kissing, sometimes by drinking from one dish, common cutlery, razors or towels. The most contagious is the fluid from the vesicles. This means that it is easiest to get infected through contact with vesicles. Most people become infected with HSV-1 viruus in childhood, resulting in a latent infection, which is a lifelong infection of an infected person. If you have not had such an infection in childhood, you will not become infected in adulthood.
