Is tolerance to a given drug or drugs acting in the same area...

Can tolerance to a given drug or drugs operating in the same area be reversed or reduced? I notice an increasing tolerance to PDE5 inhibitors. Will drug holidays help anything in this regard and how long should they last?

Phosphodiesterase type V inhibitors, such as sildenafil and tadalafil available without a prescription, should not be used for a long time without consulting a doctor (urologist or sexologist). An undiagnosed cause of erectile dysfunction can increase and be the reason for the need to increase doses of drugs that have their limits. Short-term use of sildenafil and tadalafil in accordance with the recommendations described in the leaflet is not a source of tolerance. It is worth going to a specialist doctor to diagnose the problem, because the treatment used is only symptomatic.
