Hello We give masc Mupina to a 2 year old child for the night, to the nose in the amount of a grain of ream due to purulent rhinomyasis. After what time the masc should work after 3 days runny nose a little smaller but without madness.

Mupina ointment contains an antibiotic, and its period of use should not exceed 7 days. If there is no improvement during this period, the drug should be discontinued and other treatment options should be consulted with the doctor. It is worth knowing that, unfortunately, from the perspective of the current scientific literature, the use of ointments with mupirocin (Mupina, Mupirox, Bactroban) does not always give the expected results. The presence of purulent nasal discharge does not always indicate a bacterial infection, so the use of an antibiotic intranasally is not always necessary and effective. However, it is not my role to question the doctor's recommendation, because I do not know all the symptoms and state of health of the patient, so I do not recommend you to stop taking the drug. It is worth remembering that regular cleansing of the nose from residual secretions accelerates treatment and prevents complications.
