Rifaximin, the active substance in Xifaxan, has eubiotic properties, i.e. it stimulates the intestinal microflora in itself - it stimulates it, so you should not additionally use the probiotic in parallel with Xifaxan. If there is a need for a probiotic, it is usually taken after the end of Xifaxan therapy.
