How long can diphergan be used?

A boy of 11 years got the drug Diphergan 10 mg dragees due to vomiting. He can't swallow pills as he can safely give it? For how many days to give the tablet? In case of vomiting, he is to take once a day.

Diphergan is a coated tablet (covered with a sugar coating) it should not be divided, the only way to administer it is swallowed. Promethazine (the active substance of diphergan) should not be used for more than 10 days in a row. The doctor indicated the dosage - once a day in case vomiting occurs, if the symptoms stop using the drug should be discontinued.
