Hello! I have a question, is the result from a blood count of 9.44 from leukocytes to elevated leukocytes? This is the result of my partner. In the standard of the laboratory in which the test was performed shows that the standard is 4-9, but on the Internet where I do not look it writes either 4-10 or 4-11 and that this is the norm. I will add that some time ago I treated a mixed vaginal infection with my partner and I am worried that elevated leukocytes may mean a relapse of the disease.

The result is assessed according to the standards of a given laboratory (in which the test was performed), because each laboratory may have slightly different standards, which results from, for example, the type of determination method used and many other parameters. Please remember that in medicine the result is not evaluated, only the patient - also taking into account his well-being, symptoms, age, other diseases, etc. A slightly elevated level of leukocytes does not necessarily mean a relapse of the disease if symptoms do not appear. The interpretation of blood results is dealt with by the doctor when seeing the patient and assessing on the basis of the anamnesis even the presence of disturbing symptoms.
