Why do I feel anxious after increasing my dose of Asertin?
Hello I am cordially asking you the following question and ask for help For a period of three weeks according to the doctor's recommendation I took 1/2 tablet of ASERTIN 50 MG after this period the doctor recommended taking the whole tablet (1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening) after two weeks of the recommended whole dose sometimes I come to states of internal anxiety which previously did not happen

If you increase the dose of sertraline (the active substance in Asertin), some side effects may increase. The patient may feel powerless, tired, weak, worsening of depression or anxiety, sweating, muscle tension, pulsation, a feeling of tremor or warmth in various parts of the body or restlessness. This is due to the fact that drugs weaken the perception of anxiety quite quickly, but do not immediately have an antidepressant effect. If the patient is not able to cope during the period of increasing the dose of the drug due to side effects, he should consult the attending physician.
